A Legacy of Waste Management Excellence Since 1939
End-to-End Waste Solutions Designed for Sustainability, Compliance, and Cost Efficiency
Established in 1939 by William Briers in Tamworth, Staffordshire, Briers has grown from a local enterprise into a respected leader in the waste management and recycling industry. For over 80 years, we’ve built a reputation for reliability, cost-effectiveness, and outstanding customer service. By working closely with businesses across the UK, we’ve developed tailored solutions that not only meet compliance standards but also help reduce environmental impact.

Our Commitment to Sustainability
At Briers, sustainability is at the core of everything we do. Our mission is to help businesses move towards Zero Waste to Landfill by using innovative, eco-positive technologies and best environmental practices. Our award-winning approach minimises our own environmental footprint while helping our customers maximise recycling and reduce waste.
To demonstrate our long-term commitment to future generations, we’ve created a dedicated wildlife habitat with two lakes and over 2,000 native trees. This 20-acre site supports local biodiversity and serves as a living example of how businesses can balance progress with planet.
Supporting Our Community
For over 80 years, we’ve proudly supported the Tamworth community and surrounding areas through charitable giving, education, and environmental initiatives. From national causes to grassroots projects, our contributions aim to enhance daily life and create opportunities for local people.
Our current chosen charity for donations is Tamworth Wellbeing Cancer Support Centre who continue to support people and their families while coping with cancer and other chronic illnesses. Tamworth Football Club has been supported by us since the early 1960’s. We strive to support local events within Tamworth, Atherstone and Lichfield areas.
As a family run waste management company, offering Zero Waste To Landfill, our philosophy has seen us develop a partnership between Warwickshire County Council at Kingsbury Water Park, purchasing and planting hundreds of native trees. Local groups, schools and volunteers can take part in the park’s environmental days, planting trees to create a new wooded area for future generations to enjoy.
